About Balaji

There are times when the journey of our life is a struggle. At that time, we search for an anchor that can keep us afloat and centred in a stormy sea. We hope to survive the onslaught of perils and overcome the hurdles that keep us from the celebration of being alive.

It is the anchor of faith that Balaji Dal, a religious organization and trust, brings to its members. Balaji Dal encourages people connected with it to follow the path of righteousness, devotion and dharma.

In particular, importance is given to worshipping Shri Balaji Maharaj and the chanting of ‘Shree Hanuman Chalisa’. Ours is not just an organization, it is a family. People from different walks of life are a part of this religious family and they come together with feelings of love and devotion towards Shri Balaji Maharaj. Members of this Sangath family say “Jai Baba Ki” while greeting each other.

Objective

This organization, run and directed by our beloved Guruji Shri Baljit Ji Maharaj, always inspires its family members to follow the path of dharma.

Guruji aims to promote the fundamental teachings of Sanatan Dharma, Shri Hanuman Bhakti, and reciting Hanuman Chalisa (21 times) twice a day, which is believed to be a very effective antidote to all the ills faced in Kaliyuga.

You can achieve your goals in life, by making your daily diet and thoughts, satvik. Satvik food is referred to as a yogic diet in modern literature and is believed to be pure, essential, natural, clean and carrying vital energy or prana. Satvik food induces thoughts that are clean, conscious, true, honest and inspire wisdom.

Guruji advises families to recite Hanuman Chalisa even while preparing food. This devotional attitude while cooking meals transforms the food into Prasad (gracious gift of God) and so we receive blessings while engaged in the simple act of partaking food.

Seva – Dhairya – Vishwaas

Balaji Dal’s motto is to serve Shri Balaji Maharaj with devotion, fortitude and the utmost belief in divine grace.

These attributes contribute to our wellbeing and self development, so that we do not get sucked into the whirlpool of negative emotions that are easily generated by a chaotic and unpredictable environment.

Children - Citizens of Tomorrow

This organization comprises all age groups with members ranging from children and young adults to senior citizens. The positive vibes created while chanting Hanuman Chalisa makes a protective shield around those in the family. When children see and hear their parents chanting Hanuman Chalisa continuously, they are inspired to chant along and feel the same devotion.

This promotes the inculcation of good values in children, which in turn inspires positive thinking. These are the necessary building blocks, not only for personal development but also for nation-building.

Modern education and scientific thought, focuses on logic and gives more importance to what can be seen, felt or proved based on experience. Yet, following religious discipline is perhaps more relevant in today’s post pandemic world.

One of the pillars of the trust is the Sevadars (Volunteers) who helm a large part of the trust’s work selflessly.

Sevadars (Volunteers)

Faith is a dependable anchor that equips us with enormous mental and emotional strength to carry on when life’s challenges are overwhelming.

The Sevadars (volunteers) devote themselves to Balaji Maharaj and Guruji and are an inseparable part of Balaji Dal. They promote harmony and happiness within the Sangath with their volunteer work. They tirelessly work towards achieving the objective of the trust and devote a significant chunk of their time every day towards the Sangath. They manage the day to day affairs at the Office, preparations before and winding- up work after Physical and Online Chowki.

Sevadars have a well-oiled system in place when it comes to organizing the bi-annual Jagran at Mehndipur. The volunteers start pouring in and start working two days before the commencement of the 3-day event. Keeping the Sangath Parivar informed about upcoming events via calls, manning the helpline number of the trust and addressing queries from devotees is all part of their work. Thus, Balaji Dal is a huge family showing unity in diversity, which is continuously contributing to the propagation of Sanatan Dharma.
